Are you ready for your adventure wedding in France?
First things first, why the Alps? The Alps are the greatest European mountain range, spanning across seven Alpine countries: France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, and Switzerland. The French Alps are particularly well known for their stunning views, excellent hiking trails, and of course, winter sports.
Chamonix, a small city in the Haute-Savoie region, is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and year after year, winter sport enthusiasts, powder lovers, and adventurers gather here for a good time. Next to the slopes, there are many great trails to hike and mountain bike on less snowy days, the area is excellent for rock climbing (and hosts the yearly world cup here with a breathtaking mountain backdrop) and you will find plenty of opportunity for serene solitude away from the crowds. If you love watersports with incredible scenery, Lake Annecy is perfect for you. The turquoise water looks stunning against the mountain ranges in the background and the city itself has a cute medieval old town that looks wonderful in pictures. However, if you like it more secluded, the French Alps are full of little lakes with a similarly good view, only a little hike away from your location.
All seasons have their own beauty in the French Alps, however, the weather is more reliable in summer, and possibly a little more exciting in winter. As you know, winter elopements require a little more planning but it’s crazy rewarding when you get those snowy shots that look like a winter wonderland!

Meet Thijsiena, the ultimate outdoorsy queen who can withstand -12 degree weather in her self-built shelter like a champ. And then there's Marina, who fell head over heels for the charming country of Ireland. When we hang out, we adore snuggling up with Marina's purrfect cats, sipping on coffee with oat milk (because dairy isn't our jam), or simply taking in the stunning, jaw-dropping views of the mountains from an alpine hut.
